Legend has it, one night in 1944, Trader Vic set out to create the “finest drink” and he did just that! Vic served his concoction to a couple of friends from Tahiti and they exclaimed, “Mai Tai!” meaning, “The Best!” We make ours with Appleton 12 Year and Smith & Cross rums, from-scratch orgeat, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao and lime.

The 1934 cocktail that put Donn Beach on the map. This delicious drink with a dangerous amount of booze soon became the most infamous of its time. Beach kept his recipe a closely guarded secret until the day he died. About 70 years later, his formula was finally decrypted. We use four rums including 151.
