Level I of the Asylum: In-Patient
As a Level I member, you’ll receive a passport and a list of 20 rums to launch your tasting journey. This curated list is designed to introduce you to rum—the spirit that has traveled from Caribbean sugarcane fields to become a symbol of adventure and revelry.
You’ll receive a stamp for each rum you taste and once you complete your passport, you’ll earn a pin to commemorate your achievement.
After taking your RUM-O-CRATIC OATH, you’ll become an official IN-Patient and gain entry to the exclusive Level II of the Rum Asylum where your journey continues.
Oath and pin ceremonies will be held at quarterly Rum Asylum meetings (TBA).
Level I Members Are Under Dr. Funk’s Orders to Accept the Terms Listed Below
You are responsible for your own passport. Dr. Funk cannot replace or restamp it. We encourage you to take photos as you progress.
All rums are served as 1.5-ounce pours, neat or on the rocks.
For $3 more, make it a Daiquiri.
A special flight of three 1-ounce pours is available to get you started.
No time limit—enjoy your journey at your own pace.
Each stamp requires you to finish your own pours—no splitting or sharing.
Rums can be tasted in any order.
