Besides having a passion for hot rods, Top Notch Kustomz owner Ignacio “Notch” Gonzalez loves all things tiki. Born and raised in San Jose, Notch fell in love with tiki after a trip to Japan nearly 20 years ago. After doing some research, he discovered tiki bars were a huge trend with a considerable following in the States. He started collecting tiki antiques and is now regarded as one of the best known tiki designers in the world. His work ranges from large projects, to residential, to mobile tiki booths with exotic drinks.
He’s “notchified” several bars including, but not limited to the following: Smuggler's Cove, False Idol, Hale Pele, Max's South Seas & Inside Passage.
